Born Cool

Dearest Joshua David~

Hello cutie pie!  Your Aunt Katie and Uncle Brennan got you this cute onesie with Snoopy on it that says "Born Cool."  You wore it all day to show everyone how cool you are.  ;-)

This morning we had some beautiful and cool weather!  We took a walk through the neighborhood up to the local farmer's market and shops.  You fell asleep in the stroller.  We went into a few stores and daddy got a cup of coffee.  :-)  We walked back home in time for an early lunch and daddy made us a pizza!  :-)

You had the hiccups this morning, and it pretty much stuck with you all day.  You haven't had the hiccups in a while.  You didn't get fussy with them .... it was just cute listening to you hiccup and play around.  :-P

Today is the start of the TarHeel football season .... so daddy put our big UNC flag out on our porch before we went for our walk.  Our first game is tonight at 8pm against LSU.  We actually have about a dozen players who can't play this game (not because of injuries but because they did stupid things!), so we're a little worried about what will happen.  :-P

You ate some more of the prunes and apples mixture.  You, again, were fussy .... perhaps we've finally found something that you just don't like .... prunes!  One thing's for sure though .... it flushed out your system .... you had four big poopy diapers today!  Don't worry, daddy changed three of them!  ;-)

Oh, almost forgot, we saw a baby deer today in our backyard!  It was blending in with the trees, so we almost missed it!

This afternoon we took a trip to Target.  I carried you around on my back in your carrier.  You fell asleep but people kept looking at you and saying how cute you are.  One lady played with your feet once you woke up.  ;-)  We got more bird food while out and filled up the feeder once we got home.  This afternoon, we've seen a lot more birds since adding more food!  And, we've seen more than just finches since we got a food mixture.  :-)

Daddy trimmed some of the bushes in the front yard.  It looks really good.  Over time, we want to add some rocking chairs and a swing so we can enjoy this weather more!

This evening we all played in the bonus room.  You crawled all around the room!  You kept pushing a ball all around and then crawling after it!  I vacuumed the upstairs, and then daddy and I organized the bonus room while you were playing.  We both had to keep an eye on you since you're so mobile now.  ;-)  This morning, you were playing in the living room, and before I knew it, you were at the kitchen floor!

We put the UNC football game on the radio since we don't have television.  You got to listen to Woody Durham .... the "Voice of the TarHeels" .... and his play-by-play of the game action (you heard him last basketball season once you were home from the hospital).  We were all pretty much in bed by halftime, but the final score was 30-24 in favor of LSU .... which actually isn't bad for being down 12 players and starting the game with 2 fumbles.  :-P  Hope UNC can pick it up for the next game!

Sleep tight little precious!

I love you!  :-)
