Family Goals

Dearest Joshua David and Grace Elizabeth~

Joshua, you noodled into our bed around 2ish this morning.  Grace, you (on the other hand) slept in your toddler bed all night and then went downstairs with daddy at 7am with no crying!  You usually wake up grumpy!  :-P

Guess what .... we saw a deer in the backyard today!  He was really close to our house do daddy was able to get a nice picture!  :-)

We all got ready in the morning and actually made it to church early!  Go us!  Gigi was playing in the praise team so you two got to see her on percussion.  We also saw Grandpa Jim and Uncle James while there.  You two drew with Uncle James.  I brought some snacks so you two ate in the back of the church.

Afterward, we went to Target for our groceries.  Remember how we didn't get to go shopping yesterday since you two were grumpy?  :-P  Well, you two were fine today and each ate three cookies while there.  We were home by lunch.  Grace, you napped once we got home, but Joshua ended up eating a little with us.

Grandpa Jim, Gigi, and Uncle James ended up coming over this afternoon and watched some of the Olympics with us.  You two had art time and Joshua ended up drawing all over himself with a green marker.  :-P

Daddy and I worked on some family goals this afternoon.  We hung some magnetic boards up in the kitchen to encourage each other on what we want to work on.  We have everything separated into four categories:

*Physical - workout schedule so we can stay healthy for you all
*Spiritual - daily Bible reading and encouragement to make it to church on sundays
*Mental - hobbies so we don't get stressed (photography, music, art)
*Family - date nights and outings as a family

It's a work in progress, but I think once we get the hang of everything, it's really going to help us as a family.  It's easier to reach goals when you have a support system.  So, we're all going to encourage each other!  :-)

We had dinner out at an Italian restaurant.  We saw Mimi, Grandpa Mike, Uncle Brennan, and Aunt Katie.  You two ate some pasta and pizza .... but not much.  You two ended up eating a little more food once we got home.  :-P  You two had fun seeing everyone.  You played around with the spoons and forks.  Grace, you liked to put the spaghetti on like a necklace.  ;-)  Mimi made Grace some dresses .... she's working on something for Joshua.

We got home a little after 7pm and watched the Olympics for the rest of the evening until bed time .... Go USA!  :-)

Sleep tight little ones!

I love you both so much!

~Mommy
