Dearest Angels~
You two slept in your own beds last night though it took a long time for Joshua to fall asleep. I laid next to him until 11pm until he was snoring. :-P
What a busy day .... we had an early morning appointment at Rex to see the pulmonary doctor. Remember how Dr. Freeman, the GI doctor referred us when we were at UNC last time? Well, since we also had a feeding appointment later in the morning I tried to pack plenty of diapers and snacks for the day.

We saw the pulmonary doctor at 9am. She checked Joshua's ears, throat, lungs, and heart. They took some measurements including his vitals signs with blood pressure and oxygen level. Little man, you're 35 inches and 26.8 lbs.
She gave us a prescription for flovent, an asthma medication, to help open your lungs up because of your 'chronic cough', thought you haven't really been coughing that much recently. She suspects acid reflux is also the problem so next week they may adjust your prevaid medication too. The flovent is given as an inhaler .... 2 puffs twice a day (4 puffs total). They showed me how to give you the puffs to cover your mouth and nose making a good seal. This will be a struggle but we'll get through it. You only need to be on it for about 2, maybe 3, months. Oh, and we need to wash your mouth out afterward so you don't get thrush (a yeast infection since the inhaler is a steroid).
We were done by 10:30am. I took you two down to the lobby and gave Grace her yogurt and Joshua his applesauce. I changed your diapers and then we headed back upstairs for an 11am appointment with Krista for feeding therapy .... busy busy!
Joshua you ate well today. You ate about one tablespoon of my roasted butternut squash and one quarter of a chopped banana! Plus, you ate your yogurt! Wow! Krista thinks you're looking healthy and you're starting to show good growth on the chart .... slowly. ;-)
We were back in the car by noon. I had to change Grace again since she pooped. :-P Then, we were home by 12:30pm. You two played as I quickly ate a lunch .... I was starving. Then, I made my lunches for work this week as you all ran around the downstairs.
We were upstairs and playing by 2pm. Then, we were downstairs and playing by 4pm. We vacuumed the living room before Quinn came over at 4:30pm. You did well for her little man. You all played with blocks and you're still working on 'up' and 'open'. We learned the sign for 'block' and you signed for 'fish' crackers at the end of the appointment all by yourself! Whoa! Good job!
Once Quinn left a little after 5pm, we packed up and headed to Gigi's for dinner .... daddy had a meeting after work. We also saw Grandpa Jim, Uncle James, and Lois while there. We ate a nice dinner and then played and visited. You two got to see Uncle James's fish and snail. Uncle James put on a puppet show with a lizard. And, Joshua worked on his sounds and words. It rained while we were there. Oh, they're having their house painted so we got to see some of the work. It's a pretty green color so I'm excited to see the finished product. Green is my favorite color. :-)
We were home by 8:40pm and you all wanted chocolate crackers. :-P We had a quick snack and then headed upstairs. I got you two ready for bed before daddy got home at 9:20pm. But, daddy brought home a cookie cake for us since we had such a busy day! We'll have to snack on it tomorrow! ;-)
Sleep tight little ones!
I love you both so much!
~Mommy
