Back Home

Dearest Joshua David~

Great news today!  Your Mimi was able to come home from the hospital!  They came home a little earlier than we thought ....

We relaxed this morning (you slept again last night .... woo hoo!) and daddy finished labeling the CD's for Mimi.  We also put aside some DVD's we had for her to watch .... comedies, music videos, etc .... and we got her a pink snuggie (a blanket with sleeves) to curl up in on those cooler days if she's out on the screened deck.  After I had you, your daddy got me a snuggie to curl in and I loved it!  After you came home from the hospital, you curled up in it with me.  ;-)

After we packed the CD's, DVD's, and snuggie, we went to run an errand at Target.  Then, we stopped to grab lunch at an Asian restaurant near Mimi's .... we were planning on dropping off her goodies as a surprise for her to find, but as we were there, we got word that she was already home!  So, daddy called Grandpa Mike to made sure it was ok for us to come over (if she wasn't feeling well we didn't want to be in the way).  Everything was fine, we headed over there and got to see Mimi, Grandpa Mike, and Vickie (You remember Vickie?  She came and saw you after you came home from the hospital.  She lives in Florida now but went to college with Mimi).  They all got to play with you, though you couldn't climb all over Mimi like you usually do.  ;-)

We let Mimi rest and then headed to the grocery store.  Daddy picked up a lot of veggies and made a homemade lasagna .... he made wheat pasta, the sauce, and the veggie/cheese mix.  He put it all together as a "heart healthy" meal for Mimi.  There was some left over, so we have a smaller one too.  ;-)

While daddy was cooking, I swept the kitchen and downstairs, vacuumed the downstairs and the new sleeper sofa, straightening some things, and then gave you a bottle.  You were really fussy for some reason and always wanted someone there with you for some attention.  I put you in the high chair and you practiced with a sippy cup and cookie.  You ate about a quarter of the baby cookie, but you were holding the sippy cup better.

Tomorrow, daddy starts his new job at Lenovo, so he had to watch some orientation videos on the computer.  You and I played in the play room for a few hours.  I took pictures and videos of you crawling all around me!  You were so cute with all your toys!  :-)

Sleep tight little treasure!

I love you ever so much!  :-)

~Mommy
