Sleeping Bags

Dearest Joshua David~

Welcome to moving day!  We started early and had you at Gigi's house by 7am.  Then, daddy went to pick up the moving truck.  We rented a 14' truck because anything bigger would be hard to move around the townhouse.  Your Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Mike, and Uncle Brennan helped us move and unload things.  We loaded the truck twice, plus Grandpa Jim's truck, my Escape, and Mimi's Explorer!

We still have no power on at the house, but we were still able to manually open the garage doors and move the furniture inside.  We got the majority of the things in the townhouse moved by early afternoon, and then met someone at the townhouse to have the carpets stretched.  We left some things in the townhouse so we could continue to spent the night, but we made sure everything was off the carpets.

Then, we took one more trip to the new house, left my car there, and then returned the truck by 7pm.  We were glad to return the truck!  That's one less thing on our growing list of chores.  :-P

We set up a little sleeping and bottle station at the townhouse.  We looked like we were living in sleeping bags!  Daddy and I used an airbed and we made a little bed for you next to us, though you played on the airbed while daddy and I worked.

Your (Great) Aunt Beth also came into town.  She came to see you get baptized tomorrow, and she wanted to change all the locks in the new house as a house warming gift!  This afternoon and evening she played with you while you were at Gigi's house.

You also got to see Uncle James and your Great-Grandparents.  Everyone is excited about your baptism and can't wait until tomorrow for church!

Tomorrow will be another busy day .... your baptism will be in the morning .... then people want to see the new house .... then we need to continue cleaning the townhouse .... and we need to help (Great) Aunt Beth with the locks at the new house!  Whew!

This evening, when we brought you back to the townhouse, you looked at me and said, "Mama, where did all the stuff go?"  I told you that everything got moved to the new house!  :-)  You smiled and clapped your hands.  :-)

Sleep tight my little Joshua!  I can't wait until your baptism!

I love you so very much!  :-)

~Mommy
