Butter Up

Dearest Joshua David~

Hello little man!  Well, I guess two nights in a row was too much to ask for .... you woke up again at 3am this morning crying.  :-P  We got one night of full sleep and then you were back at it again.  Any reason why you're crying so much?  You're not hungry and even if I change your diaper you still won't go back to sleep with out someone there holding you or sleeping between us.  Let's really try to work on that .... ok?  Daddy and I get tired by the end of the week with these little 'naps' during the night.  :-P

So, needless to day, we were exhausted this morning and never really woke up.  We gathered ourselves together and went downstairs for breakfast.  You had your usual and daddy and I also had some cereal.  Then, we all went upstairs and went right back to work.  We picked up where we left off yesterday.

You played in your play area in the bonus room while daddy and I emptied out the back bedroom.  There wasn't much furniture in there .... your crib and a dresser.  Both of which were light, so it didn't take long to empty the room and then daddy started taping the edges.   This will eventually be the nursery, so the color is a yellow shade. We must have timed this room a little better than yesterday because we went back into the bonus room to check on you and you had fallen asleep after a while.  :-P  So, daddy and I painted and painted as you slept to get the bedroom completed .... now we have two freshly painted bedrooms for you and Peanut .... one is 'Honest Blue' and the other is 'Butter Up' .... I think they'll look really nice once the new floors are in and we have the furniture back in.  ;-)

It was a little past lunch time when daddy and I finished.  We all went downstairs and you had some bananas and a bottle as daddy made some chocolate chip banana bread from scratch.  As it baked, daddy did some touch up in the bedroom and I played with you (I was getting tired at the time and needed to rest for little Peanut too).

The only thing we really needed to do before tomorrow morning was move out the rest of the stuff in the master bedroom.  The little night stands and laundry bins I could move.  The dresser was pushing into the bathroom and the majority of the bed was put in the bonus room .... minus the mattress so we could sleep tonight .... oh, that bonus room is packed right now!  We basically have three bedrooms of furniture stored in that room now until these floors get done!  Ha!

Your Mimi and her friend, Donna (you've met her before) came over this evening.  They had some banana bread .... which was good! .... and saw all the progress that daddy and I have made.  We're all excited to see what the rooms will look like with all the new floors in and these new paint colors!

We relaxed this evening in the bonus room until you fell asleep in daddy's arms.  Daddy put you down in a 'pack and play' to sleep next to us, and you stayed sleeping as we read.  But, by 11pm you were crying again.  You eventually noodled yourself into our bed.  :-P

The floor people are coming tomorrow morning, so you and I will be camping out downstairs all day.

Sleep tight!

I love you!  :-)

~Mommy
