Dearest Joshua David~
What a fun day we had! :-) First off, thank you .... you slept through the night! Yippie! Now, we just need to make sure you continue to sleep during the night.
This morning all three of us played in your new play room. You crawled all around and on top of us. :-P Daddy left around 9:20am to pick up Uncle Brennan and meet Grandpa Jim downtown. We bought a sleeper sofa from someone and need help moving it. Grandpa Jim drives a truck, so they were able to fit it in there to bring it back. We were looking for a sleeper sofa to put downstairs anyway. They come in handy when extra people come over. Plus, after Peanut comes, I may not be able to go up and down the stairs easily.
You and I continued to play upstairs, and when you started to get a little fussy, I rocked you in the rocker .... you fell asleep within minutes. :-) You napped for about 20-30 minutes (until everyone was back with the sofa).
After the sofa was inside, Grandpa Jim left to run some errands. We packed you up and drove Uncle Brennan back to his house. Then, we ran a quick errand ourselves. We needed cat food and formula for you (we were dangerously low on both). :-P Then, we went to Gigi's house!
Your Great-Grandparents were already there with two cakes! One was bigger that said "Happy Birthday Joshua" and they put a "1" candle in it. It had a John Deere tracker on it. The second was a smaller one in the shape of a bear for you to play with. ;-)
Great- Grandma tried to give you some icing, but you kept turning your head and making funny faces. :-P But, you did eat some applesauce from Gigi and Great-Grandma gave you a bottle. :-)
Now, we all know your birthday is actually next saturday, but we wanted to celebrate today too because Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa could be in town. So, you lucky little boy, you'll get two parties! You could always be like your mommy .... I like to celebrate during my entire birthday month (december)! ;-)
You showed them all how you crawl around and play with your toys. :-) They were impressed at how strong you've gotten (you are a strong little man!). :-) We continued to visit after your Great-Grandparents left, and you ended up taking another little nap with Gigi. We had the Carolina vs Clemson football game on (and we won!).
After a while, we headed back home too. We ate dinner as you ate a quarter of a cracker. :-) Then, it was bath time for you and then we played in the play room again. Daddy finished all the CD's for Mimi .... we ended up making four .... one was "Restful Relaxation", "On The Mend", "Booty Mix", and "Heart-filled Songs." ;-) I think she'll like them! :-) She wasn't able to come home from the hospital today, so perhaps tomorrow will be the day. Keep praying! :-)
Sleep tight little precious!
I love you very much! :-)
~Mommy
