Hello little man! Today you are fifty nine weeks old .... you're such an old man! Ha! ;-)
After we put you to bed last night, you promptly woke us up at 11pm crying and crying! We tried to let you cry a little to see if you would calm yourself and then go back to sleep. But, you didn't and just kept crying and crying. So, daddy put you in our bed and you immediately fell asleep! We learned something about you .... you're a bed hog! You kept wiggling yourself around between the two of us and even wedged yourself diagonal at one point. We had to keep moving you just so we would have room in our bed to sleep! :-P
You had your usual four tablespoons of cereal with apple juice for breakfast this morning. Then, you had your eight ounce bottle. I ate some of our homemade banana and chocolate chip bread. Yummy!
After I washed and ran your bottles, we played upstairs in the bonus room. We played for a little bit and then I had an apple snack. ;-) It's getting cold outside and will only be in the 40's this week, so we took a quick trip to Kohl's to get you some pants and long sleeve tops. You needed some 12-month close that were warmer, and since Kohl's sent us a coupon for today and this weekend, we decided to use it. :-)
You took a small nap in the car as we drove home, so once we got home, I was able to make a quick sandwich for lunch before feeding you. You finished all your whole milk and then started on some baby yogurt. It was a strawberry and banana mix. You ate about half of it until wanting your bottle.
Gigi called this morning and came over to our house for lunch. Your Great-Grandfather was in town from Tennessee, so the three of us drove out to Hillsborough to your (Great) Uncle David's house. We saw (Great) Uncle David, your Great-Grandfather, and his wife, Rosemary. We stayed for almost three hours visiting. They loved seeing you crawl around and were impressed by your waving and all your smiling. :-)
We didn't quite time our drive back though .... we ended up leaving around 5pm, so you were getting fussy for dinner. I pulled the car over and made you a bottle and a sippy cup of apple juice. Gigi sat in the backseat with you and ended up helping you with the bottle as I drove (you stayed in the car seat so you were still safe while driving). You ended up falling asleep with the bottle, so then Gigi and I just talked on our way back to Raleigh. :-)
We were home in time for dinner with daddy. You had more yogurt and some cheerios. We still have to put the cheerios in your mouth in order for you to eat them. :-P If we hand them to you, you just play with them and then drop or throw them.
Tomorrow we're heading over to daddy's work really early in the morning for a computer sale! It starts at 8am and we want to get there early to see all the deals. Gigi will come over at 7am and then we're picking up Grandpa Mike on the way .... so, I hope you sleep better tonight!
Sleep tight little one!
I love you very much! :-)
~Mommy
