Dearest Joshua David~
Hello little man! Today is Daylight Savings! On this day, we change the time on our clocks. It happens twice a year, so we, "Spring Forward and Fall Back." Since it's the fall, we gained an hour! Generally, the time change happens around 2am, so we people set their clocks the night before. I was glad to get an extra hour of sleep .... though I don't think you knew it was Daylight Savings since you woke up early. ;-)
We relaxed and played in the morning. I did have a hard time last night and this morning with my allergies, so I was glad to relax some and take advantage of the extra hour.
We are some of daddy's pumpkin bread for breakfast and it was good! :-) Afterward, we packed you up and headed over to Gigi's house. We got to visit with Gigi and Uncle James before heading to lunch to celebrate Uncle James's birthday. We left once Grandpa Jim got home from church.
We all went out to eat Italian food (though you had a bottle). You tried to eat the menus, but Gigi and Grandpa Jim held you so that you couldn't. After lunch, we stopped quickly at the grocery store to pick up more apple juice for you (I admit, I had some of your juice!). :-)
This afternoon and evening we had a lot of fun! I had a pinched nerve on the right side of my back, and was congested, so daddy hooked up the Wii and we played a video game together! We hadn't played a video game since May! We did some bowling and basketball. Daddy even played a game of bowling (and won) while holding you the whole time! :-) It was so much fun hanging out with you two!
We made a breakfast casserole for dinner. I was trying to imitate one that I tasted at our last MOPS meeting. I still need to work on it though .... I think it needs more spices and cheese .... but daddy and I liked it. :-)
Well, little man .... remember when I told you that UNC basketball season was upon us? Daddy and I broke down and ordered cable this evening so that we could watch the games. So far, since we moved, we haven't had television here (though so many shows you can watch online that we hadn't noticed). Daddy and I hadn't turned on a television since June! Anyway, we should get it in another 1.5 weeks, which means we'll still miss the first game unless we go somewhere .... but here's the big news .... daddy gets certain discounts through his new employer .... so, we ordered a new television too! The one we have now works, but it's small for the room. It's about 24 inches across .... the new one will be 50 inches! Whoa! I bet you'll like to watch Fraggle Rock on that television! ;-)

With the clock change, now it gets dark outside early. I don't like that because now it's really dark while I'm still at work. :-( No one likes to walk to their car in the dark. :-P
Today was also chilly, so we dressed you in a cute sweater for lunch. But, once you played around at home, we gave you a bath and put you in some nice pajamas. :-)
Tomorrow daddy heads to work, but you and I will be able to play together! Sleep tight little precious!
I love you! :-)
~Mommy
